I am currently interested in the adaptive potential of reefs to climate change. Specifically, I am interested in the interactions between host genetics, environment, and symbionts that lead to enhanced heat tolerance among individuals, species, and populations. My research spans a range of manipulative experiments to determine bleaching phenotype, coupled with gene-environment interactions (seascape genomics) to better understand the mechanisms of coral heat tolerance.
